Call for Papers
ICACON 2016 will be the 4th event in the "International IBM Cloud Academy Conference" series, established to bring together academics and practitioners working on methods and tools to address problems around the development, deployment, management, and use of cloud infrastructures.
Of particular interest will be submissions featuring original research or experience reports that address how the transition to cloud computing is transforming healthcare, education and government. The submissions should aim to communicate best practices with real-world examples illustrating improvements in quality, outcomes, lessons learned and return-on-investment.
Topics of Interest
A range of topics relevant to cloud computing in education, government and research are of interest, including (but not limited to) the ones below.
- Standards and Open Source Strategies for Cloud Computing
- Institutional Strategy and Planning for Cloud Computing
- Cloud Computing Implementation Strategies
- Systems Management in a Cloud Computing Environment
- Building Green Data Centers
- Software-engineering for the cloud
- Data Management and Analytics on the Cloud
- User Productivity with Cloud Computing
- Research Computing in the Cloud
- Pedagogical Impact of Cloud Computing
At least one author for each accepted paper should register and present at the conference.
Submissions will be managed through EasyChair. Submissions should be 2-4pages long in this format, and they should indicate the preferred mode of presentation (presentation or poster).
All submissions will be peer reviewed by three domain experts, among those listed on the Program Committee. Authors of selected papers / presentations will be selected and invited to have work published in a special issue of the International Journal of Cloud Computing / IJCC.
