On June 1, 2011, Drs. Liu and Stroulia provided to the Health Sciences Council (HSC), a presentation on the mission and objectives of the Smart CondoTM Simulated Learning Environment. Their objectives for the Smart CondoTM space were: (1) to expand the state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research in integrated technologies for delivering high-quality heath-care services to Albertans, and (2) to train a new generation of health care professionals through broad, creative, “hands-on” inter-professional education and professional-development activities.

In this report, submitted to HSC early in 2017, Drs. Liu and Stroulia review the team’s activities and achievements during the first 5-year term of the Smart Condo space, and discuss how these activities address the expectations of the HSC.
